We know the Deus has some
(a lot of) added adjustment functions than the ORX, such as selecting Full Tones
(which drives me nuts!) and other things. But one of the marketing points about the ORX was that it was designed to be 'Simple'
(one of my favorite words to use) yet still match the detection depth and Performance of the Deus.
Now, I know not everyone has really learned or mastered their Deus, and I am also sure that, because of that, quite a few people have toyed around with the various settings and, unknown to them, have ended up with impaired performance compared to what it is capable of. I have borrowed and used a Deus a couple of times but have never owned one .... and never plan to, either. Why? Because I like things that are Simple, still Functional, and provides me with in-the-field Performance. The ORX does just that for my wants and needs.
So, for those who have ample experience with a Deus and feel they know it well, and have, or have tried, an ORX, I would like to know your thoughts about the two models. Honestly, I am curious how you might describe the strengths of the ORX in particular. Also, favorite coils and for what types of hunting applications. I'd even like to hear the settings you use for the two User Custom program slots.
