I especially like Gary Blackwell's videos on the XP line, and got my first ORX because it provided Deus depth and
general performance plus it is a 3-Tone audio like my FORS CoRe and Relic models. The ORX is really a fine performing model that lacks the extra adjustments functions of the Deus.
I had thought about getting a Deus off-and-on the past several years, but ... Having a team of detectors for my needs was enough us a couple of moves and some medical issues got it the way.
Then comes the Deus II and I now see a lot of things I like about it. I don't dive or even swim so the waterproofing means very little to me. However, I like the button layout and like the looks of the buttons as well. Maybe easier to access and manipulate.
I like the concept of the 'General' program, plus the fact it starts out in a 3-Tone audio. I prefer 3-Tone and then 2-Tone. They say it is easier to learn than the original Deus so Joel (Kickindirt) who has used the Deus a LONG time, or UtahRich who studies a unit and works hard at using it and learning it, would be two people to get input from.
Calabash Digger has his new CalRelic program for the Deus II that operates in Mono using the Pitch program. He said he would send me the program info so that will be interesting to try.
2022 will be a fun learning year. I hope you are enjoying your winter white.
