Monte from watching all the tester vids I have no doubt what so ever that it will be everything and more that im expecting. I believe all other previous XP user feel the same. Not even a question. Not to late to get on the list. To me it looks like nothing else can beat it at the moment. Thats just my opinion! All just depends on what angles you take when you look at the situation of purchasing a detector.

I know that others have followed the introduction videos, here and foreign, and put in their request, but I also know I am not the only one who cancelled their Deus II order. I have been watching videos of the Deus II since they first hit the You Tube screen, and I mean watched them during the day, through the night and in-between. No idle time here because when I wasn't watching a Deus II video, I took in some of the Deus and all of the competitor's models that were also being used by many of the same people in the UK and here in the states.

They were all hunting open fields and pastures and farmland, and all using shovels. Most would get a good audible hit and dig a plug, scan, and most of the time the target was still in the hole. They dug out some more until they found the target and claimed it was 6" or 8" or 10" or whatever depth they imagined. What I observed was that it didn't really matter which mid-range to top-end detector they used, if it had an 8½X11 or 11" elliptical or round coil, they all seemed to perform about the same. At least competitive enough.

Me? I hope to get back to wielding a detector and a cane, so toting a shovel is out. Besides, over five decades of recovering a lot of old targets from whoppingly deep coins in the surface to 4" or maybe 5" range has satisfied me just fine. I have several detectors in my outfit right now that can get better depth than I am up to digging, especially in well manicured grassy Coin Hunting areas, and seriously great performers for my Relic Hunting tasks. So, for the $$$$ I am saving on not buying a Deus II that I don't need, I can afford a couple of other proven performers and extra search coils to have on-hand.

Like I said, I just hope the Deus II is all that others hope it to be for their hunt needs.
