They dug out some more until they found the target and claimed it was 6" or 8" or 10" or whatever depth they imagined. What I observed was that it didn't really matter which mid-range to top-end detector they used, if it had an 8½X11 or 11" elliptical or round coil, they all seemed to perform about the same. At least competitive enough.

Competitive enough for you but not for me! Thats the part I don't agree with at all and I justified my comments the first time by saying everyone has an opinion and reasons for doing what they need to do. The thing that also is a big factor that you prob dont realize cause you haven't had the time with the newer machines like the Nox and deus1 is that they are getting better separation at depth then alot of the other machines. One of the main reason for that i believe is being able to fine tune recovery speed to match site conditions. But most wont ever realize this just in your backyard test gardens or basic test scenarios like the nail board. Its something that I've learned in the field in heavy junk/iron sites. That's all just my opinion again and could be complete bs to the next guy that doesn't run into the same things i do.
