Is the Vista Gold Hound much the same as the Vista X ?

I do not have a Gold Hound but hope to by year's end. However, here are some quick comparisons between the two:

• Similar configuration and very close weight.
• Vista X standard coil is Octagonal and Gold Hound is a round 11", both DD type.
• Gold Hound is a Single Disc. function and Vista X has the Alt. Disc. feature.
• Vista X has the twin toggle switches and I believe the Gold Hound is only one toggle on the right side.
• Biggest difference might be the 16 kHz operating frequency for the Vista X compared with 30 kHz for the Gold Hound.
