Reminder here is that I have had 2 Vista X's, only used a Gold Gain and Smart, but not a Smart+ Pro.

I note the following when looking at the devices and the specs.:

► Both the Smart+ Pro and Vista X operate at 16 kHz and use similar Octagonal Coils, so I am guessing they share the same search coil sets.

► The Smart+ Pro uses the sleeker housing design like the Vista X.

► The Smart+ Pro has only one trigger-toggle on the right-side under the housing and the Vista X has one on the left and right.

► The Smart+ Pro lacks two controls, a variable Threshold and the Alt. Disc. Otherwise, they share similar adjustment functions.

So, just guessing, it might be the Smart+ Pro is a slightly simplified Vista X, so the questions would be do they share similar circuity design performance or is the Smart+ Pro dumbed-down in sensitivity? My guess is they are very similar but I'd need them in-hand to compare.
