I caught the reference before how you use the Disc. and Alt. Disc. 'backwards' from normal. Yes, the Vista-X audio is a very clear and sharp response that is pleasantly hearable.

Typically a Concentric might have a bit more response out from the coil's edge compared with a similar-z DD, but often it is different from one, side or the other of the DD coil due to the wiring layout.

Bottle caps can be a problem, but I noticed the same benefit using a round 7" Concentric on a Makro Racer, Racer 2 and Nokta Impact. One of the things I like about most detectors using a Concentric coil.
