I have been toying with the idea of building one but will take a lot. Still learning on building coils here and there is very little help out there so it is slow going and more of a winter project when I have time to pester my engineer friends.
I really think Deeptech would do well with a machine like that and coupled with a very good concentric coil people could hunt some very tough grounds where chasing numbers is not effective.
As fast as the new machines are and all those features. A lot is lost when it comes to good audio response to a target and people tend to rely on certain numbers when that is not always the case. I think a lot is lost with all the extra filtering. I can't see how they can take in account for all the random situations we see in the field.
