Ready for a new month of detecting, and just hoping for favorable weather.

I used most of my 'discontinued' detectors during October once I was out of the neck brace from spine surgery and could drive. Generally the weather was favorable, except today as we're ending October with some rain showers passing through that ruined my trip off to an old homestead location.

Our Fall-to-Winter transition isn't going to wait for December 21st to start official wintry weather. We're heading into highs in the 40° to low-50° range and lows in the upper 20°'s to low/mid 30° mark and soon the ground will be frozen, if we get any showers. The latter half of the month will have us dealing with temps from as low as the mid-teens to between 35° and about 40°, and the cold will cut in on my getting out before my next spine surgery on the 29th.

So, after tinkering with the bulk of my more dated detector models, I am going to start November off and mainly just rely on my two current-production detectors, my Nokta-Makro Anfibio Multi and White's MX-7. If the weather breaks, I think I'll work them with the 7" Concentric and 6½" Concentric, in that order of assignment, to spot-check some of the vacant lot I've been working that seems to have been thinning out, and perhaps get out to a homestead my oldest son & I have access to.

For those of you who live where the weather is pleasant enough and temperate aren't too cold this time of year, I #1 envy you with favorable conditions, and #2 I look forward to reading your posts to fill the excitement and interest blocks on my check-list as we head into a colder and unpleasant season. If enough people can get out hunting and post their experiences and perhaps share some photos through until we get into early spring weather, it will sure help us deal with cabin fever.

'Snagging' accomplished (see White's Forum). The 11th looks favorable.

Ample coils available, and I don't anticipate an Anfibio 'Pro Pack.'
