I was doing some air tests to better determine TID numbers on my Anfibio. I have some silver jewelry and crosses, junk rings. indian head pennies, ect. I am always surprised how many of those good targets come in the zinc penny range. I have several silver crosses that ring up the exact numbers as a zinc penny! Always a good reminder for me to dig more of those zincs and nickles winking smiley

Fish N Chips,

On my Equinox, I typically find that 'zincolns' Target ID from 19-21. HOWEVER, as the copper cladding becomes damaged exposing the zinc planchet core, things can deteriorate quickly and I've had them read as low at 16-17 in 'damaged' condition. They become unrecognizable as a coin pretty quick once they hit the ground.

Makes me appreciate the Copper Lincoln cents, 'wheaties' and IHC's all the more.
