Time is moving on . . . so are we.

I've noticed something about this Hobby in the past couple of years. In my community there's a small group of people who hunted similar places over the course of many years. We never tried to get every single find in the proximity we had fun we loved it when we found something neat, we'd get a couple things and move on to another place.
It kind of left a hunting ground that was open for many years.
Anyway we had a lot of enjoyment.. now however I see a new breed of people out there hunting who Grid Places daily for years with their big top dollar multi thousand dollar machines . It's like don't let anybody else have any chance for anything cuz you're going to get every single Speck of metal out of the ground no matter what rules you choose to follow no matter what digging backhoe you use. Somehow in this latest decade I've seen the change in how personalities act in regard to this Hobby and a lot of it is not beneficial nor helpful to our hobby at all just a thought. It's kind of sad to see therefore again I think of living in a smaller community.

I hope that's all I have to worry about as I get older. I saw this quote on another forum - what we have to look forward to as time moves on. Makes me feel uneasy about the other side of the hill.

As George Burns said:
"First you forget names, then you forget faces. Next you forget to pull your zipper up and finally, you forget to pull it down."

Life is good - at least for now. The winds of change surround us.
