can it be "assumed" that the t2+ with 5" d.d. coil on board, would have the "fastest" response, and recovery time in a typical urban site, hunting coins where non-ferrous, and ferrous targets are adjacent to each other, based on your experience in the field?

YES, the Teknetics T2+ w/5" DD can provide one of the fastest response-and-recovery times in a typical urban Coin Hunting site among non-ferrous targets.

POSSIBLY, the T2+ w/5" DD can handle some instances of response-and-recovery in a mixed ferrous and non-ferrous environment if there are just incidental ferrous objects and they are positioned so as to not be too close to the non-ferrous target and will allow a quick-response and fast-recovery w/o the ferrous target's negative influence on the signal response.

NO, the T2+ w/5" DD is not going to be able to handle a ferrous / non-ferrous environment if there is an abundant amount of nails and other ferrous debris and the density of the ferrous junk is too close to the desired non-ferrous targets to allow the T2+ to handle the ferrous target influence on the EMF, thus it will not allow quick handling of the ferrous influence to provide a fast recovery to produce a quick response from the non-ferrous target.

In short, if the ferrous debris is too intense and too close, there will be ample good-target masking that the T2+ w/5" DD can't deal with. In those nasty iron contaminated sites I favor models like the Nokta FORS CoRe or FORS Relic which are superb at handling some of the more challenging masking ferrous conditions.

I'm not saying a T2+ w/5" DD won't work, just that when it is really iron-ugly the T2+ might not work quite as well as it can in low to moderately iron challenged conditions.
