Re: Why i like multi frequency Hey Brian

Joel,

I've had one for 5 years now. I'd say i am still learning, and occasionally relearning. You can pretty much pick it up and run with it using the stock programs...likely no different than the Nox or other multi frequency options. The nuances are something that obviously can take longer as they would with any programmable machine. I'd say i figured out the deep, low conductors in the last year.

It also behaves a little differently than I expected on deep, small silver. Digging those 90's tones pays off - and they aren't silver dollars. I think the key there was having success on several of these deep targets and then correlating that to what the machine was telling me. The mutifrequency capability was paramount to success in this space as you can again compare the responses of all 3 frequencies as opposed to recovering a wheelbarrow full of deep iron using only 1.

Don't get me wrong, i still recover a lot of junk because every once in a while you get something good when you though it would be junk...which is typically a masked targeted for which that stereo audio gives me a clue. Even then, i probably recover 50 junk targets for every keeper.

Afraid I won't be in Ogden as i have a travel schedule conflict with my wife, but there is always next year. Looking forward to seeing what the group unearths!
