What frequency am i really anyway?

George,

Your results have me curious. If you go into one of the modes, say Park 1 or 2, and change from Multi to 5khz, than 10kHz, than 15kHz, than 20kHz (and 40kHz if your equipment measured that high) does the spectrum analyzer follow along?

Does if follow along if you offset your frequencies as well?

I managed to latch up a sensor coil to pick up the transmit signal from my Equinox 800. Connected to an audio spectrum analyzer, I was able to record the actual frequencies being transmitted by the 800 (Limited to 22KHz by my current analyzer). The amplitudes are relative. The big surprise was that in "Park 1", it transmitted only ~14.6KHz - not unlike a White's MXT! Can't see how in that mode, there's any advantage over a single frequency machine other than possibly recovery speed - in that most machines are digital now. The speed of recovery being dependent upon the speed of the processor used in the machine.

Note that I suspect the "gold" modes probably included 20 and 40KHz transmissions, I just couldn't pick them up.

Looks like the "Beach" modes transmitted the most simultaneous frequencies. See for yourself.
