The White's V3i -

May 16, 2019 10:51AM avatar
There are a couple detectors out there that I think are unique and very capable, but, take additional time and effort to learn. I put the V3i in that group. Not everybodies cup of tee. Having hunted with our very own Zincoln, I would say he's been to V3i university and received his PhD. If you still have that V3i and want to really learn it, I would suggest contacting Professor Zincoln and signing up for one of his classes. thumbs up

Comparing the V3i to the Equinox. Shows the stability of the Equinox's ID capability.

He dug up a "button cap" he called it - a type of roofing nail. I ran into a school yard with a zillion of those around. I managed to pull a Mercury dime out at a few inches deep with the MXT Pro and the 4x6 "shooter" coil. Small coils are really valuable in dense target areas.

I had a V3i, and can say that its recovery time is very slow compared to the newer machines. I would never use it with a large coil in a dense target environment.
