Whew! ... I made it. Now to struggle on and work toward another year.

I would like to thank everyone who posted below, sent me PMs, e-mails or spent some time on the phone with me yesterday or did two things on that list. Miss Rikki is a fantastic companion, but she's a dog and doesn't talk much. Doesn't write, either, so no card from her, but she let me know she cares as well so I had a very good day. One of the best days I've enjoyed in several years, and that's good because it left me with a 'feel good' sense to carry on and do the best I can to deal with health issues and work toward another year.

And another year means as much metal detecting as I can get out and enjoy, and getting out means looking forward to more Welcome-to-Hunt Outings and seeing family and friends. The 11th WTHO is coming soon to Wells, Nevada on June 13th thru 16th.

And I am going to plan around any holidays in the future so as not to interfere with an Outing, and I'll be adding a 12th WYHO later this year, in August or September, back to Utah which will include urban Coin Hunting at some really nice parks. I also plan to pay a personal visit to a fellow who I am told now acquired a major portion of a ghost town to try and secure permission for us to add a day or two of hunting on that next Outing.

One thing about getting 'old' (aka 'older' to some) is that you know you're not alone. George was 41 days faster than me, Roger P., Gregg A., David S. and a few others will hit that '70' mile marker very soon. And the rest of you might have beat us to it or ... be ready ... your time will come.

To possibly help to keep a little limber and have some mobility remaining we might want to get out moving about as much as we can, and metal detecting can at least help us to some degree. So my 'Thank You' goes out to those who posted or contacted me, and I wish you all the best in your own aging process as well as success afield in your detecting efforts.

There is something we all have in common, if we're turning '70' this year:
