Re: Some Detector & Coil Comparison Results ... but incomplete.

I believe the Nox800 is a good all around detector for the money. And for people that can only afford one detector or choose to have only one detector for the price can't be beat. It does give you the ability to hunt beaches and is fully waterproof so a big plus.
Now for best inland detector for all around needs imo the XP Deus with 9in x35 coil, ws4 backphones can not be beat. I have had mine for 5 years now and it is going no where anytime soon and would be my first detector of choice for hitting new trashy homestead ghost town type sites. Even in a modern trashy park setting I believe I showed just how good it can be during the WTHO in ogden. Not the first detector I would choose out of my arsenal but doable. A little pricey.
CTX 300 by far best old coin hunting detector for old parks, yards etc. Pricey but can be had for 1200 or so.
CZ 3d. Best old nickel machine. If going old nickel hunting I choose this one first. Kind of heavy and has to be chest mounted though.
These are just my opinions but willing to show and back them up anytime.

The Equinox 800 isn't all that expensive for what it offers.
