I had an Explorer ll and it was a very deep metal detector in less trashy hunting grounds. The fluty tones did not appeal to my ears, and it sounded like a plastic toy saxaphone ...When hunting close to a foundation it would null the threshold and wouldn't hit on anything, I tried to like it and used it a lot, it just did not perform in the nail beds where I hunt. An ED-120 Tesoro would out perform it in the small ferrous littered sites.
