Favorite 'foreigner? Maybe "Cold As Ice"

Monte,

I have one of each off your list; XP, Minelab and Nokta (plus a White's and a couple of Tesoro's).

If I have to pick a favorite, I would say my Minelab EQ800 simply because I have the most time and experience with it and it has proven itself.

I also have an XP Deus with the 9" x35 coil. This detector is newer to me, but has already ran the gauntlet of ghost towns on WTHO's, old tear outs in town and hiking the steep hills of old mining areas and has produced. It is a delight to use. That said, I don't have nearly as much time and experience with it as the EQ800 so it still has some work ahead of it. If it performed as well as the EQ800 in other areas, it would become my #1 as it is so pleasant to swing. However, it is NOT waterproof like the 800 so I leave it home when I get in the water.

And I have a LEFTY version of the NOKTA Fors CoRe with a few coils to go after things in the old West sites trashed with iron and tin. It is capable of hunting in other places as well, but I prefer both the 800 & Deus for general purpose hunting.

And my American Made unit is a White's MXT All-Pro as a loaner detector and emergency back up for the 800 for old mining areas. It is rugged, very easy to use and is a great detector.

In reality, I have the detectors I need for my interests and am not looking to add anything.

I'll pull out in about five hours to use two 'Foreigners' and one 'USA' favorite.
