LOL Nope.....Not gonna say one word when you get the Nox 800. However, I'll probably be there and witness when you have your "religious" experience with the machine and you loudly exclaim " I Have Seen The Light !!! " and promptly throw it in the dumpster. cool smiley

I have "seen the light" ... about spending so much money, especially in the recent 4½ years. I have bought or traded for new detectors to check them out and see if they are a good 'fit' in my personal Outfit. Some have been new-to-me and others have been models I have owned in the past that served me well at the time. A few I haven't cared for. Others I have liked, but just didn't really need, or maybe they didn't balance that well for me or really fill any gap or need I have to compete with what was in my selection of 'favorites'.

Then I had a collection of excess detectors hanging around or even one or two duplicates I didn't really use. Along the way my health has continued to degrade and mobility has worsened so I have been even more attentive to a detector's weight and balance. Also the unit's audio report because I'm a bit deaf and that hasn't been improving, either. That's why I have been making some final adjustments in my Detector Outfit and have been thinning down the excess.

This past couple of weeks I did trade one of my detectors to you for a new Racer 2 that I wanted on-hand specifically for the 7" Concentric coil. And I just purchased a pristine condition White's IDX Pro that has been modified, and that was mainly a 'comfort' unit because I have fond memories of how well my former modified specimens worked and th success they brought my way, so it will stay in my Specialty-Use Team with my XLT and 'back-up' Tesoro favorites, a duplicate Bandido II µMAX and Silver Sabre µMAX.

I also purchased a mid-sized elliptical coil and new pinpointer this past week that should be arriving any day. I am now about at the point I am finished spending any more $$$ to buy a new-to-me detector. Yes, I have "seen the light" and made a commitment to try and refrain from spending any more on a detector. I'll either trade for one to check it out or just give up on the idea of getting another model to evaluate. So when it comes to a Minelab Equinox 800, I don't plan to spend any more money.

Maybe I can find a pristine condition EQ-800 that also would come with the 11" and 6" DD coils in trade for a pristine Nokta / Makro Anfibio Multi w/stock 11" and accessory 4X7½ elliptical DD coils? If I make some sort of trade and get an Equinox 800, I am sure you'll be hanging around if I do, and when I get out to give it a try you'll likely be there as well. I'll be prepared for your comments, favorable or not, and I'll even let you check it out and see if you're missing anything in the way of performance.smiling smiley
