My old-time 'sentimental' models still work well.

The two most favorite of my 'sentimental' detectors are my Tesoro Bandido II microMAX and Silver Sabre microMAX, but these simple, non-display devices can work well in so many applications they are a 'must-have' for me. The other two 'sentimental' units are my modified White's IDX Pro and XLT which also perform very well and have been very reliable.

The Tesoro's travel along with at least one of these Regular-Use Detectors always being in my vehicle. The two White's models are in my 'Specialty-Use' Outfit and get grabbed as desired based upon the site I might select to search. As desired, they join my foreign manufactured favorites from Turkey, the Nokta / Makro CoRe, Relic and Racer 2, and from France, the XP ORX.

We're almost done with October, and soon finished with 2019. I'll give six months time in the new year, 'til the end of June 2020, to see if anything from the three USA manufacturers is brought out that might bring them up to a level to truly compete with any of my foreign favorites and then decide if they are near death or actually able to step-it-up and be competitive in affordability, design, and serious in-the-field performance for the sites I spend most of my time.

Otherwise, I think I am well prepared for any localized Coin & Jewelry Hunting or serious old-site Relic Hunting I want to do and I'll basically be done buying, selling, trading and just devote what time I have left to going out metal detecting. If a manufacturer can't bring out anything to do better than what I have, I'm just not interested.
