St. George Utah Detecting

It’s been awhile since I’ve been back to these forums! Life generally gets in the way making it difficult to find time to do the things we want to do.

Enough sob story, it’s been snowing like crazy here in Logan, UT and I NEED to get out and put a coil to the ground. My last outing rewarded me with my first ever IHP (1907) but that was back in November. See the attached photo if you desire. The itch to get out is bad enough that I scheduled a day off of work for my birthday weekend (24-27) of January and head down to sunny St. George, Utah. I have a friend down there new to metal detecting and I’m looking to take him out and get his feet wet.

My question is: anybody live down in that area that could get us on a site or two? I’m fine with old parks, homes, empty lots, ghost towns, etc.. I’d just like to get him on some history. If anybody knows of a spot or two, it would be greatly appreciated.

We will be hunting with Garret AT Pro/MAX, Tesoro Vaquero, ACE 350 and the like.
