Now you got me thinking...........

Monte, we have to do a whole new slew of test. After seeing the results of the Nickel in the same plane as the nails vs. the Nickel 1" below the nails. My smaller DD coils failed with the Nickel below the nails whereas some of the machines with a larger ( mid-size) coil hit the nickel on the same plane ( east/west swing) and with the Nickel below the nails ( east/west swing).

I want to do the scoring system you suggested ie: Nail Board 8 possible hits so 1 point for each hit etc. But what I would like to do is pit my small coils against my mid-size coils. I want to run each test with a CoRe and Relic machine. The CoRe with the oor coil and 9.5 x5 and the Relic with the 5" and 9.5x5 coils.

We will use the Nail board, Plank test ( Nickel same plane and below nails) & Button/Nail test. Assign a points system and see which size coil on what machine will achieve the most points. I guess what I'm getting at is, am I at a disadvantage with a too small of coil? Does the 9.5 x5 overall give me a better advantage?? Would like to run all the test I can and see. So get all your testing methodology set up and I'll bring a few machines and coils over smiling smiley

Don't take me wrong still love the Core and Relic, had them in the worst of it and they produced. Now I'm interested in which coil might give me an overall advantage. ( I was surprised the Snake coil and 5" Sharp coil on the Racer couldn't get the Nickel below the nails, but watched the larger coils get it.)

Also back to circuitry design. Will the CoRe & Relic perform better with their small coils vs racer with small coil ( guessing I would say yes.) in all these test. So I will bring 3 machines and 6 coils and we will have at it.

Or perhaps should I just go back to the days "ignorance was bliss" and just flailed away, had fun and found some stuff smiling smiley

CoRe
Relic
Racers

In many ways I agree, however, not totally. Here's why.
