My Fors CoRe is the ONLY detector I've ever had where I've wondered why the middle section of the search rod is SO LONG.
At 6'3" this is usually NOT the case, with other detectors I usually have plenty of room for adjustments. But like Monte, for the best balance and ergonomics, I have the lower rod well into the middle section, bringing the coil closer to the aluminum middle section than I'd like. I've given thought to shortening up the middle rod section. . . . .

I once stood 6' 0" but due to age and health issues, I'm a bit more 'slumped' than I care to be and get around with a cane. Still, my Nokta FORS CoRe and FORS Relic, at their shortest rod length, was just useable. I had my middle and lower rods shortened just enough to make them a little more comfortable as I can now shorten them a little.
Search coils should be worked about 12' to 18" in front of your leading toe, and those longer-reach rod-lengths are going to be heavier-feeling, more fatiguing, and usually cause poor sweep technique, a too-fast sweep speed, and eliminate effective overlapping.
So we can figure, just how tall are you?
