That's just it---the Wasps & Hornets DO NOT have the extra position on the switch necessary to function on the CTX.----I have the only pair of Killer B's in the world that has that switch---that's what Richard (Backwoods Detectors) told me that I bought them through.---John Smith (maker of Sunrays & Killer B's) made that one set only.---He said he didn't want to make any more of them for the Killer B's.----He does make the Sunray Pro Golds that has that switch incorporated into them and the Golds that has that switch has the red color cap on the end of the volume control knobs---the ones without the switch has the yellow color cap on the end of the volume control knobs.-----Price wise--they aren't that much different with the added position switch being just a little more expensive (but certainly worth it if you have a need for it)---which I do.------To me (and many others) the Pro Golds have the best tonal pitch on the FBS detectors of any I've owned/ used---and I've tried a BUNCH of them.--------Del

Patsy & I both use the Sunray Pro Golds on all of our detectors that require corded h.p.'s.----We had some problems with the earlier Sunrays yokes snapping (breaking)---but Ralph (Sunray) beefed up the plastic long ago & that took care of that problem.----Now days we have the Golds with the built in CTX switch on them & they work on our CTX's or any of our other detectors.----For wireless: On our ORX's, we use the Deep Tech wireless h.p.'s that the puck attaches to and really like them---good clarity & very durable h.p.'s.-----Del
I used to use SunRay Pro Gold headphones, but didn't like paying the extra $$$ for minor differences and switched to using Killer B 'Wasp' which are, essentially, the same headphones. Same speakers and switches, same performance, and made by the same maker of Killer B's. There were subtle differences, but I stuck by the 'Wasp' until I switched to the 'Hornet' model. I use both of them now, using the 'Hornet' and keeping a pair of 'Hornet' and 'Wasp' as my back-ups.
