Re: Etrac, CTX3030 | XLT

Rich----I would be the first to admit that the FBS detectors do not do well in iron.---But (having said that) & I don't talk much about my finds--but--I've found so many Seated coins in some of our POUNDED camps with the CTX that I think to myself--"how did these guys miss all these"??---These come from places that's been gone over & over by MANY others.---But yeah, when the CTX gets in iron--it's just plain "crippled" & even at that, it does better than the Etrac in that regard.-----Now the Equinox---that's a different matter---if it's set up right it works well in iron AND busted tin. Del,

As good as the Etrac / CTX are at finding silver coins, you still have to get the driver behind the controls - and I don't think you would have got Monte behind the controls of either the Etrac or CTX, at least while he was hunting. NBT's are a different matter. thumbs up While the XLT certainly has a good number of adjustments that are possible, Monte has it down pat. The FBS machines are a different beast. And they sing a different song as well. One that I don't think Monte cares for. (my opinion)

When it comes to the Etrac / CTX-3030 Vs XLT ... You're quite correct, Rich.
