LOL, its just the challenge to see if I can get it to function and be proficient using it.
Really once set-up, just hunt. Ground balancing manually is no different than any other threshold based detector. Once ground balanced and disc controls set or pre set from a previous hunt, almost turn on and hunt.
Actual hunting is like any other single tone detector audio wise. Checking a target is rather quick, akin to switching a toggle position from all metal to disc mode on other detectors.---Whites Coinmaster 5900-6000 for instance.

Instead of pushing some buttons, letting the detector do the work for you, you adjust using dials and switches to make a detector do what you want it to.

The V5 looks more intimidating than it really is. You can make operating it more complicated than it actually is.

The V5 gives the feel of using something vintage with modern day depth capabilities.

Best of all it was a free gift, from some one who knew I would enjoy using it.

Got to get out there now with my Simplex and 9.5x5 coil and find some more gold............................

I dig it with a Nokta/Makro product.
