in the South we look for Silvers and IH. i find a few barbers, a couple seated, mercs. i have one large cent 1819 and a 2 cent piece i think civil war.. soil ate it up bad. thats Georgia inland. the coastal boys and girls , Carolinas up and New Englanders are spoiled to coppers and reales, and foriegn coins. a friend near Saint Augustine Florida found a Marcividis the other day. . reales show up here occasionally. an abandoned town pre 1820 now pulp woods and posted and Timber investor will not allow anyone on it anymore, produced 20 reales for guru in the 80s . seen a couple gold coins.

i am happy with anything pre 1964 silver coin. it will always have melt value.

now the Euro crappola.. and i do mean crappola more ways than one.. has put a ton of foriegn coins as souvenirs. i have several beautiful ones i found near college frequented park. now no currency value..

Chinese cash token-- found two--successive emperors, 1700s. in same park. General Chiang Kia Sheks future wife went to Wesleyan college for women before it burned and was relocated, to the outskirts of town. it was near another coed college. . many Chinese girls came over, this Wesleyan--there are two in US, was a womens school founded by some of my ancestors. now its a liberal bastion of disagreement to my liking, and still full of Chinese -- from mainland too-- mmmm--. railroad hub too had lots of workers.

the question for the future is will people have credit card detectors, or bitcoin computer snoopers?. hope i am dead and gone when they do.....
