Rich -

LOL I forgot about that bet.......glad ya brought it up. But instead, since you are freash off the digging the 10 miles of sprinkler lines, could you come up here and dig the 980 holes at various depths that will be required for my up and coming coin garden ??? and we'll call it even cool smiley

It i start your coin garden by removing all of the coins, tokens and other items that are still in your yard because you've never really bothered hunting it with something bigger than a 5" coil, I guess that I might get somewhere near 980 holes. smiling bouncing smiley If fact, I might even find enough stuff to pay for your dinner. cool smiley

Years ago, I stopped by the house of a good friend of mine (and president of the local detecting club). I had my new Minelab Explorer XS and I wanted to show it off a bit. He lives in a 1920's era bungalow style home in an old town in Utah. We go out into the front yard and start swinging and RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIS PORCH STEPS I get a high reading. Digging down several inches reveals a very nice WALKING LIBERTY HALF DOLLAR. He was surprised. I handed it to him and he wasn't sure how he could have missed it, but hadn't really hunted the yard that well.

I think of your yard in the same way. You should slap one of those STANDARD sized coils on your CoRe or MXT and try finding something deeper than 4 or 5 inches. tongue sticking out smiley Ok, I'm kidding. Deeper than 3 inches. cool smiley LOL

'Test Samples' are good. A 'simple' test plot isn't bad. --- Just as long as the tester knows *****
