What I notice makes a difference for me I saw Zincoln mention a while back - “ I’m going to find (something) today.” It helps me keep my “mind in the middle” as the bull riders say.

The bad is when I get tired, physically or mentally (from machine gun nails, for example) and I get sloppy about technique or lose focus.

Roger is right here. Getting tired can mess with results. Swing patterns get lazy. You almost have to think of yourself as a world class blood hound but using the coil instead of a nose, working each possibility that comes under the coil for a good sign.

And attitude makes a huge difference, especially in tough areas. Dig some questionable targets if needed to get your mind in the right place of really focusing on the task at hand. Using the audio and visual ID's of my detector, i try to predict what a target will be. There are good targets in here somewhere, where are they ?
