I like single tone on some detectors.
Got accustomed to multi-tones when I got the Russian AKA Berkut, lots of audio customization settings.

Kind of got hooked on the Gold Bug Pros 2 tone audio. And the Deteknix Quest Pro (T2 software version).

Started to get the feel of more tones as I was using the Nokta Multi-Kruzer and then the Anfibio. Kind of favored 3 tones the most.

So I would say I don't need more than 3 tones. Best when you can set the tone frequencies, break points and volume. The Anfibio-Multi in that case works for me.

Happy with the trio of detectors Simplex, IDX, Blisstool, with the right size coil.......
