That does surprise me I thought he loved the ORX. I like it very much.its light and very easy to use I just enjoy it.
'Loved' the XP ORX? No, I wasn't that attached.
I do
'love' the Tesoro Bandido II µMAX and Silver Sabre µMAX. I
'love' the White's XLT for the places I feel it serves me best. And of the more modern detectors I have acquired, I also
'love' the dated but brand new to me Fisher F5 w/7" Concentric coil, and I
'love' both of the new Garrett Apex units I have with the coils assigned.
Then these are a couple of detectors I
'like a lot', which include the Nokta / Makro Simplex + and Minelab Vanquish 540. They both work very well and offer a lot more than folks might imagine in the way of performance. Perhaps, in time, when spring arrives they will move up into the
'I love it' category.
The ORX I liked, as I have stated elsewhere, but for my health and mobility limitations, even though it is very lightweight, it just wasn't a good 'fit'
for me and the type of sites I plan to be hunting more often. It is a very good detector, and if a person sets up two 'custom' programs in User 5 and User 6 slots, they'll have a very functional detector, for the types of places those programs are best suited for.
