Monte------It looks like you have 5 detectors mounted with "small" coils---and---3 detectors mounted with mid-sized coils (5x8" + or -) mounted full time.--
I have smaller coils on the: Apex #3 a 5" NEL 'Sharp. DD; a Tesoro Bandido II µMAX w/6" Concentric for general-purpose hunting, a Silver Sabre µMAX w/6" Concentric for tot-lots and similar sites; a 6" Concentric on my pristine back-up Silver Sabre µMAX, and for now a 5" DD on my get-serious Relic Hunting Nokta FORS Relic.
I have a "mid-size" 5X8 DD 'Ripper' coil on Apex #1, a 5X8 DD on a Vanquish 540; and a 5X9½ DD open-frame on my Simplex +.
For a 'full-size' coil, which to me means a standard to larger-size coil, I have the 8½X11 DD 'Raider' coil on Apex #2 for open areas with minimal targets. Those are all coils that are mounted and ready to grab-and-go. Since my V-540 is the 'Pro Pack' version I also have the standard 9X12 DD in my Accessory Coil Tote should I want to mount it for any wide-open area searches.

--- Why so many of the same size?---
On the two Tesoro models, one is the quick-grab GB preset for Tot-Lots and other similar sites, while the other is the Bandido II µMAX that affords me an All Metal mode, if desired, and I have control of the GB for any site I encounter.
On the Nokta Relic, the 5" DD because that model provides different performance from the others, especially for very dense iron debris.
On the Garrett Apex, the 5" NEL because it is a smaller-size coil on my regular-use model that will fit in and around and between a lot of brush, building rubble, rocks, etc., where a 'standard' coil is still a little too big.

-- Do you see the respective detector/coil combos getting all that much difference in performance to indeed warrant having all of them?----
Yes, the difference is not just the smaller coil size, but the performance and adjustments of the different makes and models that use a smaller-size coil.

---- Myself--for small coils---I have the Nokta 5" DD coil for my Multi Anfibio that I recently purchased from Joel & I just can't say enough good about that combo--it's just "killer" in the trash & iron.---
The 5" DD on the Anfibio Multi will provide performance in dense iron contaminated ghost towns just about on-par with the CoRe, at 14 kHz and Relic that works at 19 kHz. The Anfibio Multi can adjust the Frequency to complement the CoRe and Relic with very close-to-similar performance.

--- I also have the FT 5" DD for my F-19 which is a highly productive combo in sites like just mentioned.---
I like the 5" DD from FTP, but
for me, most of the models do OK but don't match the performance of a CoRe or Relic in the nastiest of iron debris.

---- In mid size coils---I have the Nokta 9.5x5" DD for the Multi Anfibio (the jury is still out on this combo)--I need more swing time with it to make a decision.----Also have the Nokta 7" concentric for the Anfibio & it's proving out very well in certain scenarios.----
I like the 5X9½ open-frame DD on my Simplex +, but on a Racer 2, Impact or Anfibio Multi, I like that coil but prefer the round 7" Concentric over the elliptical DD. Handier when Coin & Jewelry Hunting, and taking on a lot of different sites, to include places with bottle caps and similar trash.

---- Lastly (in mid-size) I have the FT 5x10" DD for my F-19 which I find is an excellent combo.-----
---Del
It didn't satisfy me, but on the F-19's I had the 5" DD and a NEL Sharpshooter I tried worked better, at least for my needs.
