That's interesting.----I had both the Sharpshooter & FT 5x10" DD coils for the F-19 & did test them side by side in various tests.----I noted really no difference in performance between them.-----I liked the fact the Sharpshooter coil ears was center mounted on the coil (compared to the FT 5x10).-----I liked that the FT 5x10 was sold construction (not open) compared to the Sharpshooter.---Better/easier for working in sticks, brush etc.---As to weight of those two coils (without coil covers)-----Sharpshooter 12.8 oz-------FT 5x10" 13.4 oz.-------IMO, you can't go wrong with either one of them---they are both very effective performing coils.---It would be nice if FTP extended their warranty on their coils (similar to NELs warranty length).------Del----

Monte-----When you said that IYO the NEL Sharpshooter gave you better performance on the F-19 than the FT 5x10" coil.----In what way(s) did you consider that to be the case between those two coils?---I'm just curious.-------Thanks--------Del
I am not positive.
I preferred the NEL Sharpshooter I tried because I liked the open-frame coil design, and the rod-mount was closer to the center of the coil than the Fisher / Teknetics solid coil. I didn't have them to compare side-by-side, but thinking back I might have given the edge to the Sharpshooter on some good targets closer to iron trash. That's only partly a credit to the coil.
