Easy - (pretending I don't have a job)
Door #1
I would let Minelab sponsor my trip to the goldfields. I would opt for the lighter GPX 6000, over the deeper GPZ 7000. My first thought would be Australia, since I have not been back since I lived there back in 81-82. and I would hang out for as long as I could - an entire hunting season in Australia. I think Steve Herschbach would be great company for a trip like this. If he persuaded me to do Alaska instead, I could do that. I could even be persuaded to do Northern California and Nevada. Great learning experience with Steve's wealth of knowledge. It would be a season of deep immersion in Nugget hunting.
Other worthy options.
Door #2
Sponsor is XP. Trip to Great Britain to hunt the fields once home to so many different cultures. My detector choice? My first thought was the Deus. And I guess that would mean ringing up Gary Blackwell with the XP skills school.
Door #3
Sponsor is Fisher. Shallow water hunting with Joe Beachnut & LeJag. location? wherever these two want to go. Asia or Europe would be great, much higher gold content in their jewelry. detector? obviously, the Fisher Impulse AQ. Joe may insist I bring a modded Excalibur as a compliment to the AQ.
Door #4
DONE - Some years ago I called up Monte, had a long chat and started participating in the WTHO's and other outings to ghost towns in my region of the country. So this to-do box is already checked.
Door #5
Sponsor is Minelab. Spend a couple weekends hunting with Dave (floodplaindetector) from Findmall. Detector used? Etrac. Location? Midwest parks and schools.
Others?
Beach hunting with the newer MDT with Tom Dankowski.
Tagging along on one of Clive's (cjc) water hunting trips to the Caribbean.
Gold Prospecting with two toes in Northern California.
Detecting with the Hooverboys along the East Coast. detector -EQ800
Im sure to have left out other great thoughts, but this list would keep me entering the sweepstakes for a long time.
