Thanks for the welcomes. I started detecting back in the early 90's with a BH 505 tracker ID. Never found a whole lot and drifted away from the hobby until 2016 when buddy mine was heavy into the hobby and kept bugging me to get back into it. I picked up an AT Pro and that sparked my interest again. Shortly after I got a Tesoro Tejon that really got me hooked. Picked up a SeaHunter for beach and water hunting and soon after got a Makro Multi Kruzer. I had a Gold Racer for jewelry hunting and loved the zippy response but ended up trading it towards an Orx for the weight which was short lived and sent that back for an Ace Apex which I put a Steve G carbon shaft on. Love that Apex for puttering around parks and woods a well under rated machine.
When I had purchased my AT Pro it came with a hand digger that killed my wrist so I designed and patented my own digger that I still make. Though I don't make a lot of them they work very well for making plugs and flaps on groomed grounds and don't butcher the turf so you have no trace of being there. Digger is called Devils Tongue.
Much of my hunting is in hunted out areas here in North East MA so I may not get a lot of finds it is still very satisfying to find old coins others miss from silver reale to trimes etc. Occasional rings always put a smile on my face
Thanks,
Ken
