Monte----With all this moving here & moving there you've been doing.---You make this the LAST time you pull up stakes & move ANYPLACE-----OK????
I am hoping this upcoming move will be my last one. Each move since August of 2013 has had a purpose and a reason, ... for the most part.

D&P-ORIt's just too hard on us going through all this with yah!
-----Man, I'm 83 yrs. old & I don't know if my ole heart would take worrying about you trying to make YET ANOTHER move.
I know what you mean because my heart, wallet, bank account and any stashed-away $$$$ can't handle it again, either, especially since it is all GONE!

Well, all except my heart.

Besides that---I think you about broke poor ole Oregon Greggs heart when you up & pulled out of that nice little place you had in
Yes, I had a pretty nice place in Vale, Oregon, however my declining health limits my ability to get around, see well, or to lift more than 8 pounds. No real grip-ability or muscle strength, so I either need to get marred to a gal who could put up with the tasks I need help with, or, I need to be located close to my youngest, 40, or oldest, 50, sons who might be able to come to my assistance from time-to-time.
As for the move form Vale, I can't ignore the fact that I miss the nearby ghost towns and the detecting jaunts I took with Gregg. I do enjoy the anticipation of hearing about his adventures and have the benefit of knowing the locations very well that he gets off to. Ranching ghost towns to gold mining era ghost towns, they are all great adventures. I have to say that was the biggest thing I have missed since my move, not being close to those 5+ old locations, and having Gregg remind me just how well our 'out-of-date' detectors continue to produce good finds.
From time to time Rimfire or zincoln or somebody would make the trip over and add some interest to a day of fun.

D&P-ORI never have figured the (real) "reasoning" for that.
Just explained the 'real' reason. It has nothing to do with Texas because if I was healthy and mobility was not an issue, I'd live here and get around to places to detect here, neighboring states, and wherever an Outing might occur. Miss Rikki also would enjoy being back in Oregon so she could spend time with Boomer and Lola, but she's a great dog with a lot of patience to put up wherever we happen to plant ourselves.
Gosh, if I was in decent health I would maybe stay here in Texas, or have looked at different places in Utah, northern Nevada, and even back to a few towns I like in way-eastern Oregon.
But I am not one of those who was fortunate to 'age well' and just go all at once when the time arrives.
To you and others, be well, enjoy getting out as often as you can, and have fun!
