The Manticore offers a few different audio options that can effect modulation in the audio. Available are Normal, Enhanced, Depth and Prospecting. All of them offer modulation in audio responses but I personally prefer normal. You can then also change the audio theme in each one except prospecting.
I prefer Normal-gives audio responses that vary in both pitch and volume. The volume of audio responses is modulated according to the signal strength/depth of the target, with strong/shallow targets giving louder responses than weak/deep targets.
Audio themes available.
Simple-When the Profile is set to Simple, there is minimal modulation of weak/deep targets. All but the weakest/
deepest targets will sound similar to shallow/strong targets.
Medium-When the Profile is set to Medium, there is a moderate amount of modulation applied. Medium depth to weakest/
deepest targets will sound different to very shallow/strong targets.
Rich-(which is what I prefer) When the Profile is set to Rich, there is a large amount of modulation applied. Weakest/deepest targets will sound
different to medium depth targets, and both of these will also sound different to very shallow/strong targets.
So I prefer normal/rich when hunting. But each person will have to experiment and see which combination works for them.
