1980s? White's 6000Di SIII. That machine came out when there was still an abundance of silver coins to be had. And I got my fair share. Have never since been able to duplicate the volume of finds in that era.
That Whites 6000 Di series 3 was the most popular detector in my detecting club in the 80's. Lots and lots of silver with that bad boy. Lots of gold rings too. Great time to be a detectorist.
