I'm very careful with coils, only broke one by accident as I was hunting in woods in the winter and slipped and hung the coil on a log. Did fix that but was a chore to do and I don't use it in the wet.

I don't wrap the wires too tight but can't have them sloppy in the woods because you can easily hang up and damage them. Nel big I used to keep slop to a minimum as it could sound off being so large. The worst connector was the Mars Tiger as they used silicone chalking to seal the connector. The super heavy guage cable they use on them is nice around emi sources but it comes with a cost as the wires are not as pliable as the Tesoro cables and to keep them from unwinding is nearly impossible.

I did make a solution to this but think I may seek a patent on it since it can be used for other applications. Was going to donate the parts to the community but my older brother talked me out of it.

If I get a pat pending or it isn't patentable I can make a bunch or donate at that point.
