Took the Tejon to the park after repairing the connector and it performed excellent. Did a quick air test on a dime and was able to detect the dime to 12". When the machine was new it wasn't that deep so I suspect that the soldering on the wires wasn't that great when it was new.
This brings me to another thought. I always heard some machines ran Hotter than others of the same make and model. Curious if it was the coils that made them hot or not more so than the tuning of the machine?
The coil is the antenna and makes all the difference in the world.. The control box just interprets the info being provided by the coil... of course you already know that.
