allow a link to CD or not. I won't allow him to be Registered here, and I noticed he used the dinky XP unit rather than the Legend in his 'best' detector selections. His anti-Nokta bias shows.
Why would it (Legend) warrant a spot in the top 5? I ordered a new one when they came out. Set it up for ghost town detecting. Started doing a few simple tests and discovered the audio was horrendous ie the audio over a rusted flake of tin was also the same audio response I got sweeping over a quarter that was laying on top of clean dirt. On my Core, must the time ( not always) rusted tin will give a scratchy audio response. Even though the machine TID is saying dime or quarter the audio response was giving off a clue it prob wasn't
The new Legend I had out of the box gave a scratchy response on the tin, but then gave the same exact scratchy audio response on a quarter. The CoRe will give a sweet analogues sound on good targets and that helps to hear that sweet tone sneaking thru, even if just a microsecond, when in the dense iron/rusted tin.
In short after a few more tests, the audio responses I was getting killed it for me. I put it back in the box and shipped it back to Kickndirt. Asked him to sell it for what he could get, keep some of the funds, and send me the rest.
But maybe after the numerous "updates" it has received maybe one or more addressed the audio. Maybe today it sounds better. But that leads into the rants you had about the Legend. If I were to go back and mine some of your old posts, the biggest complaint you had is why would a machine fresh out of the factory require so many updates. It appeared they needed quite a few to fix this or that. A machine should come outta the factory ready to go, not be released and the public required to do a multitude of updates trying to get it back to where it should have been upon release. At what point does the software start to become buggy with so many scabbed on updates?
Given the new machine I had, I would have not put it in a "top 5 spot" and given your old post at the time neither would you. So why the change of heart.....your dislike for CB or perhaps you plan on offering the Nokta brand in your new upcoming online store ??
