First, I have no interest in CD, his goofy 'tests', or his opinions about the top best detectors. he is anti Nokta and certainly not everything they make is bad.
I almost had a Legend and I am interested in hearing what it sounds like with all of the updates and any settings I might try ... for MY terrible hearing. I have borrowed one maybe five times to swing over some samples and it sure didn't sound like a CoRe, Relic, Racer or Racer 2, or other detectors I Do like. Maybe some of the many updates have helped, but we all have different haring so things can sound different to each of us. Currently, maybe it is better. ????
What a lot of folks perceive as being in the 'Top Five', or whatever number, is often based on their design, being an SMF, and units with comparable design features and adjustments.
Personally, I am quite happy with a less adjustment-featured detector as long as it works well for my needs, and some of my detectors, while simpler, allow direct adjustment of things like Ground Balance that some of the newer upper-end models don't.
In then end we have go enjoy what we have and like to use.
