on youtube that CB posted. That Xterra is one heck of a machine and only for $269. Gotta say I was amazed at what it was doing. They're gonna sell a ton of them and one might be even headed this way soon.............
If this was an Xterra vs New Simplex fight.........at this point in time I would put my money on the Xterra.
Whoa, boys !!!
I can't see the big deal about the Simplex's. They worked well at 12 kHz and all they really needed was a smaller coil. Didn't get it.
Now they are making three different Simplex versions from low-end w/o headphones for the occasional user, the BT model and the Ultra. They then figured out to use the Ultra arm-cup and carbon fiber rods on the Legend, and that's just more 'updates'.
Now we have three new Simplex models, still without a small coil, and they could have gone an extra step and made the Ultra a Selectable Frequency design to compete with the X-Terra Pro.
Instead, Minelab introduced the X-Terra Pro at a vey decent price, and it works well. Nokta should have made a selectable Frequency Simplex. AND made a small coil for it. Minelab is definitely the winner with this model entry.
