Good reminders, Utmike, and now I wonder

how long it might take this year before snow is cleared away and the areas are detectable? A LOT of snow to melt away before 'detecting season' returns.

My experiences have been mostly in Oregon and snow amounts can delay a lot of hunting. Except, and you had a good reminder, and that is watching for gloves ad other things that were thrown out by snow removal in that parking area. A lot of that can be maneuvered and hunted earlier, and checking gloves and other discards can produce some decent jewelry.
