Great idea! I'll buy a 6" coil, and maybe sell the 8x11 to help cover costs.

One question here: Can I expect to lose much depth from the 6" compared to the 8"?

Thank you Monte! Happy hunting.

Depending upon the site environment, you might only see a little loss of detection depth, but not all that much at all. You will, however, have a much lighter weight set-up to hunt with, and enjoy working in and around trashier conditions and picking out good targets when doing so.

Matter-of-fact, I enjoy using the 6" Concentric coil so much that I don't even have a standard 8" or 8X9 coil on-hand any more for my detectors. I do have the brown donut coil on a very choice condition Bandido II I am selling, but that's it for the 'standard' coil sizes. (I do have a 6" Concentric coil, but I am not going to sell it until I sell my Bandido II. If the Bandido II buyer doesn't want to also purchase the 6" coil, then I will offer it for sale in the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum classifieds.)

Best of success to you, and I thank you for the kind comments.
