I've owned all of the above coils and still my favorite is the 8" concentric coilthumbs up

I use the 6" or 4" coils up against early building foundations, in the thick nails... they are excellent for that purpose.
For me, the thin 6" Concentric is the best fit for the majority of my hunting site choices, but if I am in need of a larger, or 'standard' size, search coil, the 8" donut-shaped Concentric is my preference. The 8X9 is 'OK' but I do prefer the round 8".

The Tesoro DD coils basically flunk any of the test scenarios or actual in-the-field hunts I have used them for when up against my two favorite Concentric coil, even in more mineralized ground and hunting iron nail infested sites.
