Omega coil advice

Congrats on your latest detector. You've had some good ones. Had a peek at your u-tube video. Nice job with the gold finds. Sounds and looks like you've been doing this for more than a week or two

I tend towards the smaller standard sized coils (7"-9") due to the areas I frequent. Most have moderate amounts of trash. Going bigger tends to cause troubles with too many targets under the coil at once. Going smaller tends to cover too little ground and I start losing depth. As you know, there are times when a small 'sniping' coil is the right prescription and others when a large coil is just right. I will chime in with Gregg and Monte that a 5" and 8" would be my selection based upon places I frequent; Yards, parks and schools.

I don't know much about the 8000 other than it was one of Monte's favorites. Best of luck with it.
