Garrett Z-link, V3i, MXT

As mentioned before, I'm not a fan of the V3i. However, it had one feature I sorrily missed - wireless headphones. I tried making some once, but I had mechanical problems with the plug. Having returned from the Nevada WTHO, and experiencing constant entanglements with my headphone cord, I vowed to go wireless. Just received the new Garrett Z-Link setup. It seems to work very well and is intuitive to use. I put it on my MXT.

Now, I was hesitant to get this product because it uses a built in (guessing at the type) Lithium (one of the chemistry) batteries. Normally I would want to see the ability to put in std. batteries, in the case you lose power in the field. But the units are VERY light because of the battery technology, and they warn you when you have 3 hours of battery life left. That seems reasonable, as I can't hunt that long at one time anymore, anyway ;-)
