Practice sessions

On my way through town last week I saw a local trailer/RV park had moved all the units out. Excavation equipment and supplies were at the ready. After a friendly chat with a young man I found out was the owner, I gained permission to search the property after working hours. I knew the park had been there for a long time and he confirmed it had started in 1951 so I was eager to get started!

After three trips including one with a buddy I'm sad to report it was not the honey hole I had hoped. I was using my Racer 2 with 7" coil and he used his Whites IDX. We found 205 coins including 18 clad, making our haul over 90% Lincoln memorials. Gregg, I thought of you at every one of the last 50! The only interesting items I found were a 1945 wheat back penny and a small "North American Fishing Club" fob.

Zincoln and Rich, your spots produced so well I was hopeful, but I sure don't know where the old wheats and silver are. My ratio is similar to yours, I'm just not digging enough wheats!
